‘Grito Silenciado’, ‘Procura-se’, ‘Amaro Mar’, ‘Canção pelo Avesso’, dentre tantas outras, são algumas das obras de Deni Vilela que homenageiam a poetisa goiana Darcy França Denófrio. A artista, após percorrer sinuosos caminhos transcendendo tempo, espaço, o horizonte de formas e cores em suas telas, acaba logrando extraordinário êxito no transcurso de sua viagem e consegue finalizá-la promovendo uma intensa fusão de emoções que reproduz uma mensagem única e fala à alma humana.

Beauty can be deeply sensed within the fine shades of a mixed technique from which the talented painter accurately portrays curious stylings unveiling abstractions into unusual aspects of sensuality, gentleness, tenderness, disenchantment, and pain in her various titles.
"Grito Silenciado", "Procura-se", "Amaro Mar", and "Canção pelo Avesso", among others, are some of Deni Vilela's tributes to Goiás' poet, essayist, and critic Darcy França Denófrio.
The artist keeps an ongoing track through crooked pathways that lead to dimensions which transcend time, space, the edge of shapes and colors and finally ends up her fascinating journey by promoting an intense fusion of emotions - an awesome outcome which reproduces a unique message that truly touches the human soul.

                         O dom de ser capaz de ver o inefável

É com o olhar profundo, e o sol da sensibilidade do feminino, com ânima a caminhar rumo à integração com a polaridade oposta, para integrar-se em individuação e totalidade, que a artista plástica Deni Vilela realiza o seu dom de ser artista. E deixa-se guiar pelos sussurros de sua alma, em vôo para a transcendência, movida pela “atração inconsciente para o luminoso”, como sobre a simbologia da borboleta em trabalho escreveu a poetisa Darcy França Denófrio. Em cada das telas desta exposição de Deni Vilela, bem como em seu conjunto, ressalta, para além do domínio dos fundamentos de seu ofício, a força harmoniosa de uma arte que, em sua expressividade impactante mas não agressiva, passa-nos a lembrança da inefável verdade dita pelo poeta Fernando Pessoa: “O essencial é invisível aos olhos”.

A arte de Deni Vilela é expressão do mistério e do esplendor da Vida. E esta (como toda vida) tem uma alma. De fato, se na mostra anterior de seus trabalhos a artista revelava seu empenho de crescimento espiritual, nesta coleção de telas que agora apresenta este chamado se faz presente, ainda que de forma mais velada, oculta ao olhar mais desatento. Voltada agora para a expressão do humano e do que há nele de sublime e hediondo, como representação de sua luta entre as trevas e a luz, a queda e a ascensão, ressalta-se a presença expressiva de olhos ressaltados, que no dentro de figuras humanas, parecem buscar um interior mais profundo – o dentro do dentro, de onde talvez possam luzir e resplandecer respostas para os enigmas do viver. Até mesmo porque o olho é o sol da atenção.

Olhares que espreitam, atentos, são recorrentes nas telas desta artista. Em mostra anterior a esta, na série Visionários, que tem como temática a simbologia da borboleta como representação da alquimia e da eterna transformação de tudo o que vive. Visionário é o que vê paisagens do futuro, assim como também pode ser o olho onipresente do Big Brother da modernidade líquida, o Grande Irmão que a tudo e a todos vigia, como profeticamente denunciou o escritor George Orwel, prenunciando os horrores do totalitarismo, para quem o indivíduo é propriedade do Estado, e tem de ser vigiado e controlado até em seus pensamentos. Muitas são as faces, evocações e lembranças, em que o tema implica. E não cabe ao crítico de arte, e menos ainda ao artista, explicar a obra de arte, que deve falar por si mesma ao olhar atento e sensível.

Uma observação mais atenta dos conflitos e turbulências do mundo contemporâneo levará à conclusão: se vivemos em meio ao absurdo e horror de sermos violentados por guerras santas, bombas inteligentes e ódios religiosos, é porque o Homo Sapiens, transformado em Homo Demens, não tem mais olhos de ver o que é essencial. Como prisioneiros das ilusões, trocamos o princípio da realidade pelo brilho de purpurina das ilusões. Daí porque, com nosso olhar distraído, desatento ao que de verdade importa, não percebemos que uma das piores formas de rotina é a incessante busca de novidades.

 O olhar profundo é o sol da atenção. Mas para isto é preciso ter olhos de ver o inefável, e de desvelar o inefável. As coisas, dizem os filósofos, não têm existência própria: só existem quando são percebidas. A beleza da rosa está no olhar que assim a vê. E dizem que a natureza criou o ser humano para ser admirada, embora esta sua criatura tenha se transformado no satã que a destrói. O olho que volta-se para o interior (Self, centro do Ser) não é o olhar dis-traído e espandongado dos que transitam, como lunáticos, pelo jardim dos desavisados. Distraídos do que É essencial, não percebemos o milagre que é respirar, e estar vivos. Milagre que recebemos da Graça – totalmente de graça. O que mais importa, a nós, humanos, é ser a cada dia mais humano.

 Dando os trâmites por findos, com alvíssaras saúdo Deni Vilela, mulher, mãe, artista e participante ativa e atenta dos caminhos de seu tempo, e dos mistérios do viver. Pelo que já fez e vem fazendo como artista, sinto que tem como lucidez de compromisso realizar a missão sugerida pelo poeta Carlos Drummond de Andrade, o gauche itabirano: fazer acordar os homens, e adormecer as crianças. Até porque, segundo o poeta Ferreira Gullar, “Nesta vida morrer não é difícil, difícil é a vida e o seu ofício”.

                        The gift of discerning the ineffable

      It is with a deep look and the vertex of the feminine sensibility, with a desire to walk towards a meshing of the opposite polarity, to integrate oneself in totality, that the artist Deni Vilela culminates her gift of being an artist. And so, she allows herself to be led by the billows of her soul, in flight transcending, moved  by “the inconsistent attraction towards the scintillating”, like the symbology of a butterfly at work, wrote the poetess Darcy Franca Denofrio. In each one of the canvasses, as well as, in all of their totality of this exposition of Deni Vilela, stands out the harmonious strength of an art that in its non-aggressive but yet impacting expressivity, takes us far beyond the realms of the foundations of the profession. This expression of her work takes the mind back to the profound words of the famous poet Fernando Pessoa who said “the essential is invisible to the eye”.

     Deni Vilela’s art is the expression of the mystery of the splendor of life. And it, like all of life itself, has a soul. In fact, if in her previous works the artist revealed her endeavors to reach a spiritual growth. In this collective group of works that she is now exhibiting, her spiritual calling is present; although more veiled, more hidden from the occasional onlooker. More inclined now to express the humanism with all of its hideousness and sublime fight between darkness and light, fall and ascension, she brings to the surface of the canvas the expression of eyes that in their prominent presence among human figures, seem to search into a deeper interior – the internal of the inside. That occult interior where perhaps the answers to life’s enigmas are scintillating floating lights and where the eye is the sun of our attention.

      Looks that peek, attentive looks, are recurrent on the canvasses of this artist. In her previous exhibition series entitled “Visionaries”, the main theme was expressed by the butterfly as a symbolism of the alchemy and the eternal transformation of all that lives. A visionary is one who sees landscapes of the future. So can it also be the omnipresent eye of the Proverbial “Big Brother” of the liquid modernity. That “Big Brother” who oversees all and everyone, as declared by the writer George Orwell in exposing the horrors of totalitarianism,  for whom the individual is property of the State and must be watched and controlled, even in his own thoughts. Many are the faces, evocations and remembrances that the theme implies. It is not for the art critic, and even less for the artist himself to explain the work of art which must speak for itself to the attentive and sensitive eye.

      A more attentive observation of the conflicts and turbulences of the contemporary world will lead to the conclusion that if we live in the middle of the absurd, and with the fear of being violated by holy wars, intelligent bombs and religious hates, is because the ‘Homo Sapiens’ now transformed into ‘Homo Demens’, no longer has eyes to see what is essential. As prisoners of illusions, we exchange the principle of reality for the brilliance of the purpureal of illusions. And that being, because of our distracted glance, inattentive to what really matters; we do not realize that one of the worst forms of routine is the incessant search for novelty.

      The profound look is the sun of attention. However, for that, it is necessary to have eyes to see the ineffable and to unveil it. Philosophers say that things do not have self–existence: they only exist when they are perceived.  The beauty of the rose is in the eyes of the beholder. They also say that nature created the human being to be admired, albeit it is this creature of nature that has transformed itself in the very Satan that destroys it. The eye that turns inwards, (self- centre of being) does not have the distracted and shattered look of those who walk aimlessly like lunatics in the garden of the frivolous. Unaware of what is essential; we do not perceive the miracle of breathing, of being alive, the miracle of Grace that we receive by grace – totally gratuitous. What is most important to us humans is to be more human with each passing day.

      Coming to a final closing, with thankfulness I greet Deni Vilela, woman, mother, artist and active participant always aware of the ways of her time and of the mysteries of living. For what she has done and for what she is still doing as an artist, I feel that she has a lucidity in her commitment to accomplish the mission suggested by the poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade, the ‘itabirano gaucho’: “to wake up men and to put babes to sleep”, and also according to poet Ferreira Gullar who said, “In this life dying is not difficult, what is difficult in life, is living”.

DENIVILELA

A arte é hoje, como sempre foi, segundo Robert Storr, uma das formas pelas quais nos fazemos conscientes da totalidade do ser. Precisamos olhar para a arte com todos os sentidos, sem privilegiar um ou outro, e, para tanto, a experiência é fundamental.

A arte goiana é um espelho interessante da realidade brasileira, privilegiados que somos pela localização geográfica que nos permite enxergar melhor o todo.

Ao percorrer os olhos por este espelho, buscando descobrir os mistérios por trás da moldura, percebemos linhas que pouco a pouco nos revelam DeniVilela, uma artista de Jataí, no Sudoeste do Estado, que ocupa espaço na nova geração.

Sua arte abraça temas figurativos numa pintura que nos toca a alma e nos faz dançar ao som de seus tocadores de instrumentos, com suas formas sensuais cheias de meiguice e ternura.Mãe Trindade, Canção pelo avesso, Grito silenciado, Procura-se e tantas outras inspirações são títulos que homenageiam a poetisa, ensaísta e crítica, Darcy França, harmonizando assim, mensagens retratadas nas telas da pintora, às contidas em várias obras da renomada poetisa goiana.

    A princípio ela escolheu a borboleta como tema para onde direcionou a linguagem pictórica, exercitando traços leves nas transparências e vôos mirabolantes de suas composições. A necessidade de renovar suas utopias nas medidas destinadas ao aprimoramento artístico foi o mote para que fizesse a passagem para pinturas figurativas mais elaboradas que nos mostram passo a passo uma realidade contada em lugar de recriá-la ou transfigurá-la. Nesta busca alcançou resultados bastante depurados.

     Assim como nos vôos de borboletas, a artista está cada vez mais livre e solta em sua nova série. Inquieta, pesquisadora, adota para seus trabalhos materiais curiosamente alternativos como a tinta feita do pó de café, colagens dos respectivos coadores sugerindo texturas orgânicas, além do carvão e acrílico que se dão as mãos. Desta forma sua arte percorre o caminho do amadurecimento estético primado pela sensibilidade.

Quando se ama um ofício que pulsa latente no sangue, fruto da inspiração Divina, colocado no âmago e lá “as gentilezas doces que só o violino faz”, brincam com os tons fortes, alegres é como se ouvíssemos os sons da brasilidade nas figuras humanas e nessas, o toque da raça negra que, às vezes, bebe na rica fonte do folclore regional.

                              Deni Vilela

Art is today, as it has always been, according to Robert Storr, one of the forms by which we become conscious of the totality of being. we need to look at art with all the senses, without favoring one or another, and for this, experience is fundamental.

Art  from Goiás is an interesting mirror of Brazilian reality, privileged as we are due to our geographic location, which permits us to see the whole better.

As our eyes stare at this mirror, seeking to discover the mysteries behind its frame, we perceive lines that little by little reveal Deni vilela, an artist from Jataí, in the southeast of the state, who occupies space in the new generation of artists.

Her art embraces figurative themes in paintings which touch the soul, and makes us dance to the sound of her instrument players, with  its sensual forms full of gentleness and tenderness. Amaro Mar, Canção pelo Avesso, Grito Silenciado, Procura-se and other such inspirations are titles that pay homage to poet, essayist and critic

In the beginning she chose the butterfly as the theme by which she directed the picturesque language, utilizing light traces in transparencies and flights of fancy of her compositions. The necessity to renew her utopias through the process of artistic development was the key concept that led to more elaborate figurative paintings that shows us step by step a reality told in place of recreating or transfiguring it. In this search she has achieved results significantly refined.

Just as with flights of butterflies, the artist is more and more free and expressive in her new series. Restless, researching--she is one of those who uses in her work materials that are curiously alternative, such as paint made from coffee powder, or collagens from various strainers suggesting organic textures, besides the charcoal and acrylic materials she puts her hand to in this way, her art continues the journey of aesthetic maturation and development made excellent by sensitivity.

When someone loves a profession that pulsates in the blood, fruit of divine inspiration, placed in the heart of one's being, and there, "the sweet melodies that only the violin can make", play with happy, strong tones, it is as if we hear the sounds of Brazilian reality in the human figures, and in these, the call of the African race, that, at times,drinks from the rich fountain of regional folklore.
